JJ Harvey

HEAD TRAINER

  • JJ Harvey - Head Trainer since 2021 including: AAU Hoop Spring 2024 Instructional league, Winter 1 & Winter 2 Instructional Leagues 2023-2024; AAU HOOP: "5 Dribble" Fall Instructional League 2023; Basketball Fundamentals Summer Camps at Craig 2023; Winter 1 & 2  Instructional League 2021-2023; "5 Dribble" Fall Instructional League 2021-2023; AAU HOOP: Basketball Fundamentals Summer Camps at the MCC 2022.
  • Played collegiate basketball for 2 years at Siena before finishing his career at Southern New Hampshire.
  • Runs the Basketball Program at his church.
  • Founder and Instructor for DKBA 518 Chapter.  Private instructor for various groups and individuals. He helps players by using detailed training so they can reach new heights as their skills progress.

Colonie High School - 

  • Class of 2000 - Played football, basketball, and track for the Garnet Raiders. 
  • Tied the Section II 100-meter sprint record (10.6). 
  • McDonald's All-American Basketball nominee - 1999-2000.
  • Second-Team All-State Basketball - 1998-99 & 1999-2000.
  • Section II Basketball Class A Player of the Year.  
  • Helped win back-to-back Section II Class A Boys' Basketball Titles - 1999 & 2000.​

Kelsey Logan in college

Trainer

Kelsey Logan - Head Trainer for the AAU HOOP Basketball Fundamentals Summer Camps at Glenciff 2023. She was one of the Head Trainers for the AAU HOOP: 5 Dribble Fall Instructional League and the AAU HOOP: Basketball Fundamentals Summer Camps at the MCC (2022). She was also the Head Trainer for the Spring Basketball Training (2022). 

She was one of the Trainers for the AAU HOOP: Bethlehem Youth Basketball Spring 2020 Instructional League and Basketball Fundamentals Youth Summer Camp 2021 and 2019 at Union College as well as in 2019 in Saratoga. She graduated from Fort Plains High School where she was a 1,000 point scorer for the Varsity Girls Basketball team.  She received her Bachelors degree in Physical Education and played collegiate basketball at SUNY Cortland.

Kelsey has her Masters degree in Health Education and is currently a Physical Education teacher at Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School. She is also the Watervliet Girls Varsity Basketball Coach.

Trainer

Regan McFerran was one of the Trainers for the AAU HOOP:  Bethlehem Youth Basketball Spring 2020 Instructional League. Regan was also the Head Trainer for the 2019 AAU HOOP: Basketball Fundamentals Youth Summer Camps in Saratoga and at Union College.

She lettered 4 years on the Varsity Basketball team at St. Josephs's college graduating in 2018 with a degree in Exercise Science. She started her Junior and Senior years in college with her teams winning the conference championship in 3 of her 4 years.

2017-18: Played and started in 29 games as a senior forward…averaged 5.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 42.8% (62-145) from the floor, 35.9% (28-78) from the 3 point line, and 69.2% (18-26) from the FT line…

2016-17: Played and started in all 29 games as a junior forward… shot 40% from beyond the arc and 68% from the line… averaged 6.4 points per game while recording an average of 24.1 minutes each contest…

High School

Played three years of varsity basketball for Audra DiBacco at Catholic Central High School…selected as a team captain as a senior…collected Big 10 All-Star honors all three years, named as a NY State Section 2 Scholar Athlete her junior and senior years, and Troy All-City Team accolades as a senior…averaged 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals per game…also participated in cross country and outdoor track…earned Times Union Cross Country All-Star honors as a senior.

TRAINER

Kris Baskiewicz was the Head Trainer for the AAU HOOP: Bethlehem Youth Basketball Winter 2019 Instructional League. Kris also trained in the Bethlehem Youth Winter 2018 Instructional League.

Kris is Vice President of Operations at The Thomas Academy in Chatham. The Thomas Academy is a specialized Post Graduate institution for high school graduates who can better their basketball ability, improve their skills in the classroom and get more prepared for college.

Kris’ responsibilities at the Academy include:

player recruiting; 

player development and mentoring; 

assisting player(s) with team placement; 

and identifying & establishing relationships with other businesses and individuals.

Kris is a Marist College graduate and former Athletic Training student with the athletic program. 


Todd Birmingham coaches his players

The AAU HOOP: Youth Basketball Manager is Todd Birmingham.  

Todd has coached more than 10 teams in the Capital District Girls Basketball League (CDGBL) program and CYO over the last decade. The first group of players he had in the Travel League from Grades 4 through 8 was fortunate to make the Championship in 3 of those years going 23-0 in 2017.  His next group of players made the Championship game in 2022. He has also coached AAU Basketball during that time period as well. Todd has also coached Boys' teams in the Capital District Youth Basketball League (CDYBL) for a couple of years at the 4th-grade level and at the 5th-grade level winning the Martin Luther King Tourney and the League Championship in their division in 2022.

Todd was a 1st team All-State high school basketball player and 1,000 pt. scorer at Watervliet H.S. winning the State and Federation Tournament (28-0) where he was named MVP after shooting 19-19 from the foul line in the Championship which is still an all-time record. He turned down a Division 2 basketball scholarship at Eckerd College in favor of majoring in his desired program going on to compete as a varsity player at Ithaca College. Todd works as a National Board Certified school teacher in Special Education.
